Spiced Modelling Paste

View all articles

The smell of freshly baked gingerbread cookies always reminds me of Christmas, it smells so good!

And you, little cook, do you like that smell?

Here is a recipe to make modelling paste that smells as good as little gingerbread men.

Put on your apron and let’s go!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 tsp. of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. of ginger
  • 1 tbsp. of cream of tartar
  • ¼ cup of salt
  • ½ cup of hot water

STEP 1

  • In a bowl, combine the flour, the spices, the cream of tartar and the salt with a whisk.

STEP 2

  • Add the hot water and stir well with a spoon.

STEP 3

  • Keep mixing with your hands until it becomes a ball of paste.

STEP 4

  • If the paste is too dry, add some water, and if it’s too sticky, add some flour.
  • The paste can be kept for approximately one month in an airtight container.

IT SMELLS SO GOOD!

There you go, your modelling paste is done!

You can now make pretty gingerbread men or Christmassy shapes.
