Easter is almost here!  What a great time to share a delicious dessert or snack recipe with you.

So, my little budding chef, today I thought you might like to bake a giant Easter egg shaped cookie.  I am sure everyone in your family will love it.

Time to go put your apron on!

INGREDIENTS

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.

In a big bowl, mix all the ingredients together (except the mini eggs).

STEP 1

Add the melted butter and the egg.

Mix well.

STEP 2

Cover a cooking or baking tray with parchment paper.

Put your batter in the middle of the tray.

With your hands, flatten out the batter to make the form of an egg (approximately 23 cm in diameter).

STEP 3

Decorate your egg with your mini Easter eggs (be creative!).

Cook in the over for approximately 15 minutes.

Let the cookie cool on the tray.

YUMMM!!

Doesn’t this Easter egg cookie look delicious?

I can’t wait to have a piece of mine with my family tonight.

Enjoy!

Yummm !  Pancakes with maple syrup!  These are, by far, my favorite breakfast.  Mornings always feel special when they start with pancakes.  At the sugar shack, pancakes are served as a dessert – and I always add a lot of maple syrup!

Want to try  this recipe with me? Start by getting the ingredients, put on you apron and don’t forget to wash your hands!

INGREDIENTS

•2 eggs
•1/2 cup of milk
•1 teaspoon of sugar
•1/2 cup of flour
•1 teaspoon of baking power
•1 pinch of salt
•2 teaspoons of melted butter
•butter for pan
•maple syrup

STEP 1

•  In a bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, sugar, milk, flour, salt and the baking powder.  Mix well.

STEP 2

• You will need a pan to cook the pancakes in
• Once the pan is hot, put a little bit of butter and then, with a ladle, add some pancake batter.

STEP 3

•Cook your pancakes the way you like them
•Some people like little pancakes, some people like big pancakes
•You can make them golden or very light in color.

STEP 4

It’s ready!  Now you can add some yummy maple syrup and you will feel like you are at the sugar shack!

YUMMM !

It smells like a sugar shack here.  Can you, at home, smell the yummy odours of the sugaring off season ?
